About Innovation Center

B-CORE (Center of Innovation for Industrial Component Reliability and Integrity) is an innovation center at Universitas Brawijaya, operating under the auspices of the Directorate of Innovation and Science and Technology Park (DIKST) Universitas Brawijaya. B-CORE is dedicated to advancing innovation, conducting applied research, and delivering training and consultancy services aimed at enhancing the reliability, integrity, and performance of industrial components. Supported by a multidisciplinary team of experts, B-CORE addresses the industry's demand for solutions that are preventive, data-driven, and oriented toward operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Mission

Roadmap

2025 - System Design and Requirements Validation (Initiation Phase)

Activities: Industry focus group discussions, IoT architecture design, LMS specification development. Outputs: System design documents, IoT architecture, LMS draft.

2025 - Prototype Development (Initiation Phase)

Development of initial IT modules, dashboard and database integration. Result: A prototype of a predictive IoT system and an interactive dashboard

2025 - Internal Human Resources Development at the Innovation Center (Initiation Phase)

Activity: Preparation and administration of the CMRP exam. Result: Internationally certified personnel (CMRP)

2026 - Field Validation & Functional Testing (Reinforcement Phase)

Activities: Model testing with real data, user acceptance testing, system performance evaluation. Results: Validation report, user feedback, system revisions

2027 - LMS Curriculum Development & Certification (Reinforcement Phase)

Activities: Model testing with real data, user acceptance testing, system performance evaluation. Results: Validation report, user feedback, system revisions

2028 - Business Model & Early Commercialization (Implementation Phase)

Activities: Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with industry partners, certified training, intellectual property registration, and system certification. Outcomes: Draft licenses, patent applications, copyrights, and initial market testing.

2029 - Sectoral Industrial Replication and Adaptation (Implementation Phase)

Activities: System adjustments for the oil and gas, manufacturing, human resources, and logistics sectors. Results: Sector-specific product versions and additional MOUs

2029 - National Scale & Startups/Incubation (Implementation Phase)

Activities: National tenders (state-owned enterprises and government), startup incubation, digital expansion. Results: 3–5 active licenses, operational startups, national network
